In 2024, Erasmus Expo S.L. expanded its portfolio with the division Service Industry Safety Solutions, focusing primarily on floor safety for both customers and employees in the service industry. For this purpose, we have entered into a partnership with the company Hotel Safety Solutions (HSS), a global authority in the field of surface treatments. Together we provide innovative health and safety solutions, including non-slip applications.
Our biodegradable non-slip applications are tailored for the service industry, such as:

How Safe Are Your Floors?
Each type of flooring requires a particular friction coefficient for its purpose. Even though floorings should be compliant with the international safety standards, many floors become critical of even fail when becoming wet.
Wet floors happen from time to time. Mopping, rain and melting snow are common reasons for wet floors. And water creates a lubricating layer between the shoe and floor. A solution to place warning signs or to try and prevent the floor from becoming wet, does not solve the underlying problem; the floor still remains slippery when wet.
Some companies might suggest using acid to etch hard floor surfaces. However, this process can permanently damage the floor, make it harder to clean, and often negatively impact its appearance. It only provides a temporary solution.
Especially in the service sector, there are numerous critical areas where the flooring presents a safety risk to customers, guests, and employees. These concerning areas can include, pool decks, spa’s, sauna’s, kitchens, pantries, locker rooms, bathrooms, showers, bathtubs, lobbies, terraces, balconies, entrances, stairs, ramps, or (outer) pedestrian areas.
With so many high-risk areas, it is naturally a social responsibility to comply with international safety standards and regulations, ensuring a safe environment for everyone. The Anti-Slip Safety Solution is a professional anti-slip treatment designed for service industry floors, aimed to minimize slips and falls.
The treatment is an invisible, non-acidic and biodegradable solution designed for floors and other surfaces made of materials such as ceramic, marble, granite, slate, acrylic, enamel, and more. Our application maintains the original gloss and color of the treated surface without introducing any roughness. It is easy to clean, resistant to yellowing, and does not peel off!
The application process is oderless, noise-free, requires no drying time, and threated areas can be used immediately after the treatment is applied.

Together with our partner Hotel Safety Solutions (HSS) we offer a slip risk assessment of your flooring and provide you with a complete professional slip risk assessment report.
When a floor turns out to be compliant with the international regulations (EU/US/UK/BS) we will provide you with a Safety Compliance Certificate.
Site Inspection
Our team will conduct an on-site survey
and test a small sample area, allowing the client to evaluate the impact immediately.
Pricing and Planning
After conducting the site survey, we will provide a quote based on the square meterage. Upon receiving the purchase order, we will coordinate with the client to determine the most suitable time for the work, minimizing any disruption to guests and operations.
Application Process
In line with the mutually agreed-upon plan, our operations staff will apply the treatment. The results are immediate; once the treatment is applied and rinsed off, the area will be fully operational again.
After Completion
Once the surface has been treated, it is crucial to maintain a regular cleaning schedule. The floor must not be polished or crystallized, as this will negate the effects of the non-slip treatment.
- Each type of floor requires a particular friction coefficient (CoF) to be safe for its purpose.
(a dancing floor requires a different grip level than a gym floor) - These CoF’s or grip levels are guide-lined by several international bodies.
- Ability to measure friction results against international standards.
- HSL/HSE/HSA in accordance with:
– British Standard, BS: 7976-2 (2002)
– The UK Slip Resistance Group (2005)
